Mahatma Gandhi with his unique idea of struggle called Satyagraha emphasised on the power of truth.
He shifted the national movement to the next phase by spreading them to new areas and involving new social groups.
He believed that true struggle would not need any choice to physical violence and that a Satyagrahi could win the battle through non-violence by changing the principles of the British.
He also believed that his idea of Satyagraha was not meant for thinking and preaching rather than action by people.
He thought Ahimsa was the symbol of strength and he made people to remain non-violent and organise peaceful protest against the British.
