Old mountains are usually eroded down to their roots (e.g. the Scottish Highlands) while young mountains are usually high a pointy (e.g. the Himalayas).mountains that are jagged at the top are new mountains that are more rounded are old mountain have formed very early but young mountains have formed recently about 25 million years ago . they don't have sharp peak but young mountains have sharp peak's. they are not so much high whereas they are very much high
