We should conserve forest because:
- Forests acts as the major source of oxygen and sink of carbon dioxide.
- Forest act as a catchment for soil and water conservation.
- They prevent flood and bring timely rainfall.
- Forests, hold the soil in one place.
- It prevents soil erosion, during natural calamities such as floods.
- Let us together plant trees and prevent soil erosion.
- Global Warming is the increase in the earth's temperature, which can cause melting of ice bergs and in turn cause floods.
Some of the steps we can take to conserve our forest resources are as follows:
- Regulated and Planned Cutting of Trees
- Control over Forest Fire
- Reforestation and Afforestation
- Check over Forest Clearance for Agricultural and Habitation Purposes
- Protection of Forests
- Proper Utilisation of Forest and Forests Products
