For the development of the baby in the mother'utres,it is necessery for union of sperms and ovum in side the female body.in human beings internal fertilization takes place.the sperms or male gametes made in testes of the man are introduced into the vagina of woman during copylation .in this way millions of sperms released into vagina at one time.the sperms are highly active and moving. the sperms move up through cervix into utreus.from utreus to pass into oviduct.oviduct contains an ovum which released by overy during ovulation.dn only one sperm fuses with the ovum in the oviduct to form a zygote and this is called fertilization.
