Add of salt makes cooking faster. Give reason​

This is not appropriate reason which makes the cooking fast but adding salt absorb the excess water in the food..hence the cooking process becomes faster.

Answer:

Adding salt to water raises it's boiling point which allows the food to cook at higher temperature. Thus, higher is the heat transfer between food and water.

So the food is cooked much faster with the addition of salt in it.
