Answer:

Let the number be x

twice the number means 2x

adding 4 to twice the number =2x+4

2x+4=25/6

6(2x+4)=25

12x+24=25

12x=25-24

12x=1

x=1/12

Therefore,the number is 1/12

Let \:  the \:  Number  \: be  \: x

Twice  \: as  \: Number = 2x

Adding  \: 4  \: twice  \: to  \: a  \\  \: number  \\  \\ = 2x+4

2x + 4 =  \frac{25}{6}  \\  \\   2x =  \frac{25}{6}  -  \frac{4}{1}  \\  \\ 2x =  \frac{25 - 24}{6}  \\  \\ 2x =  \frac{1}{6}  \\  \\ 2x \times 6 = 1 \\  \\ 12x = 1 \\  \\ x =  \frac{1}{12}
