Heya Mate.....

Here is your answer.....

Advantages :-

==> The force of friction acts in the opposite direction that the object is moving, so friction slows down the motion of moving objects.

==> Friction also produces unnecessary heat. For example, car engines become hotter because of friction.

Disadvantages:-

==> Since friction is a resistance force that slows down or prevents motion, it is necessary in many applications to prevent slipping or sliding.

==> Friction between the sole of a shoe and the surface of the ground prevents us from slipping.

==> Our furniture does not move because there is friction between the base and the floor surface.

Thanks......

I hope it helps......

Advantages-

1. Helps us to write

2. Helps us to walk

3. Help the vehicles to move on the road

4. Provides grip to kabaddi players

5. Helps the coins to move on a carrom board

6. Brakes on a car use friction to stop the vehicles.

7. We can not fix nail in the wood or wall if there is no friction. It is friction which holds the nail.

8. A horse can not pull a cart unless friction furnishes him a secure Foothold.

Disadvantages

1 It produces heat in various parts of machines. In this way some useful energy is wasted as heat energy.

2. Due to friction we have to exert more power in machines.

3. It opposes the motion.

4. Due to friction, noise is also produced in machines.

5. Due to friction, engines of automobiles consume more fuel which is a money loss.

6. Machine efficency is decreased: energy input is lost to heat

7. It can cause unwanted heat (e.g. in machine parts), and it wears things out like shoes.

8. Forest fires are caused due to friction between branches of trees
