The report consists of 14 pages.

Given:

Total digits written = 19

Beginning of the report from = 1

To Find:

How many pages did the report contain?

Solution:

Pages from digits 1 - 9 will be -

9 ( Single digits)

From the number 10, each number has two digits.

Therefore,

Pages from 10 will be -

5 digits ( 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14. )

Total number of pages -

= 9 + 5

= 14

Answer: The report consists of 14 pages.
