Given :  x^2 + 1/x^2 + 2 - 2x - (2/x)

= > (x^2 + 1/x^2 + 2) - 2(x + 1/x)

= > (x + 1/x)^2 - 2(x + 1/x)

= > (x + 1/x)(x + 1/x) - 2(x + 1/x)

= > (x + 1/x)(x + 1/x - 2)
