Let the present age of son be x years and present age of father will be 4x years.

According to Question now,

➳ 3(x + 5) = 4x + 5

➳ 3x + 15 = 4x + 5

➳ 15 - 5 = 4x - 3x

➳ x = 10 years

Therefore,

Present age of son = x = 10 years

Present age of father = 4x = 40 years
