The aim and objective of toilet or bath soap and toothpaste industries are to maintain the body or physical hygiene and oral hygiene of human populations across the world.

Washing soap and detergent manufacturers have a different aim or objective. Their aim is to clean articles of clothing, utensils etc. for maintenance of general hygiene by human beings.

All of the above industries protect us from germs and, therefore, assist in protecting our health.
