Answer :

  • Salary of Ajith = Rs.4000
  • Salary of Raghav = Rs.10000

Given :

  • Ajith's and Raghav's salary are in the ratio 2 : 5. Ajith's salary is Rs.6000 lower than Raghav.

To Find :

  • Ajith's salary.

Solution :

Put x in the ratio

Now,

  • Salary of Ajith = 2x
  • Salary of Raghav = 5x

It is given that

  • Ajith's salary is Rs.6000 less than Raghav.

According to question :

→ 5x - 2x = 6000

→ 3x = 6000

→ x = 6000/3

→ x = 2000

Put the value of x in the ratio

  • Ajith's salary = 2x = 2 × 2000 => Rs.4000
  • Raghav's salary = 5x = 5 × 2000 => Rs.10000

Hence, the salary of Ajith and Raghav are Rs.4000 and Rs.10000 respectively.
