  \bold {Solution:}

Suppose Alka recieves x per month.She spends 90% of the money she receives.

∴ She spends  \frac{90}{100}  \times x =  \frac{9x}{10}

Savings = income - expenditure

∴ 120 = x -  \frac{9x}{10} ∴120 × 10 =   x × 10 - 9x

...(multiplying both the sides by 10)

∴ 1200 =   10x - 9x ∴1200 =   x

  \fbox \red{Ans: Alka receives ₹ 1200 per month.}
