HELLO THERE!

First, let me tell you,

=> The Ionization Potential (I.P) of alkali metals are very low due to their large size.

Hence, their electrons are loosely bound and easily movable. They have transition from lower energy level to higher energy level in presence of external energy.

When the electron again comes back to the lower energy level, the excess amount of energy is liberated, due to which colour in flame test is observed. (Because wavelengths of definite frequencies are emitted, which gives different colours to the flames).

So, your answer is:

Alkali metals can be detected by Flame test.

The alkali metals with their flame colourization is here:

1) Lithium (Li): Bright red.

2) Sodium (Na): Golden Yellow.

3) Potassium (K): Lilac.

4) Rubidium (Rb): Dark red.

5) Caesium (Cs): Bluish.

HOPE MY ANSWER IS SATISFACTORY.... Thanks!
