after we cut into 2cm smaller cube we have 16 faces each side.
small cube on edge have 2 colored faces.
so total 12 faces have 2 color on each side.
thus only 4 faces have 1 color on each side.
as all the side are colored total side=6
no of only 1colored faces= 6*4=24
