Hey friend here is your answer

THERE ARE FIVE MAIN TYPES OF CHEMICAL REACTIONS:-

1. COMBINATION REACTION
In this two or more substance combine to give a single substance sometimes with release of heat.

2.DISPLACEMENT REACTIONS
In this a heavy metal displaces a less reactive metal from its solution.

3.REDOX REACTIONS
In this reaction oxidation and reduction takes place at same time.

4.DOUBLE DISPLACEMENT
It's like displacement but in this precipate is form.

5.REDUCTION
In this a single compound is break into two or more different substances.

hey friend!

here's your answer:

  • Four major reaction types:

(1)  combination or synthesis reactions

(2)  decomposition reactions

(3)  substitution or single replacement reactions

(4)  metathesis or double displacement reactions

  • Four Major Types of  Reactions

     Name                                           General Reaction Pattern

  1. Combination or synthesis                                 A  +  B ----> AB
  2. Decomposition                                                      AB ---->  A  +  B
  3. Substitution or Single Replacement            A  +  BC ---->  B  +  AC
  4. Metathesis or Double Displacement        AB  +  CD ---->  AD  +  CB
  • Combination or Synthesis Reactions

Two or more reactants unite to form a single product.

  • Decomposition Reactions

A single reactant is decomposed or broken down into two or more   products.

  • Substitution or Single Replacement Reactions

A single free element replaces or is substituted for one of the elements in a compound.  The free element is more reactive than the one its replaces

  • Metathesis or Double Displacement Reactions

This reaction type can be viewed as an "exchange of partners."  For ionic compounds, the positive ion in the first compound combines with the negative ion in the second compound, and the positive ion in the second compound combines with the negative ion in the first compound.

i hope it will helps you friend
