Hi Pranja!
The dog named duke is a heart-welming story about a rampageous doberman pinscher named Duke. Duke was Chuck Hooper's one and only pet. Initialli Hooper's wife Marcy was opposed to Duke's presence in their house since she feared that Duke, being a big dog needed adequate space too. She preferred a pomerenian as compared to Duke. Nevertheless, the simple 4 year-old Duke possessed the qualities which no human could actually claim of.
Chuck was a well-to-do zone sales manager and always had a cheerful smile lit up on his face. He was towering at a height of six-foot-one and had also been an experienced player in the university football team. He had everything one desired in life. But a fatal accident paralysed him forever and made him completely bed-ridden. Those were the dark days of his life, when he was in the depths of despair. We humans claim to be the supreme beings on earth, and yet we never know what fate has in store for us. Today you are absolutely fine, but who knows if you shall ever live on this earth tomorrow?...The once fortunate young man, Chuck was now reduced to a paralysed cripple and was not able to walk on his own. he was depended on his wheelchair to travel around..
But Duke, the loyal old Duke, was a constant inspiration for Hooper. He would never even dream of being back on his foot again had not Duke been there, to constantly nudge and poke him thereby urging him to stand up and walk with him as he used to earlier..Duke's servitude to his master enabled Hooper to be promoted to a prestigious post of the Assistant National sales manager...Duke would always be patient and cooperate with his master very well during their daily walks by the roadside..Duke would wait for his master to come, then he would make the leash taut and again wait for Hooper to reach up to him..This way he guided and helped Hooper to be able to walk again....When his master was all alone at his house, Duke's presence lifted up his numb spirits and encouraged him to love his new and changed life...Duke was a great deal of inspiration to Hooper. A dog's love is truly undefined...there are no words enough to express how much a dog loves his master..They are always fond of their owners and can do anything for them..They have their own way of loving you and touching your heart by their innocent look...They deserve love, and love you back in return...They make you feel for them and make you kind and sympathetic too....
Humans can be kind and noble, but they can't truly love you like an animal does..Dogs are in itself lessons of love and kindness..
Hats off to duke! He also met with a similar accident and gradually lost his life..But before he died, he taught a lesson of love and inspiration to Hooper, a lesson that is for us, to cherish forever and till eternity..
