Ratio of sheila : Amina = 6 : 5

Let x be the constant ratio:

Ratio of sheila : Amina = 6x : 5x

The difference is 23 stamps:

6x - 5x = 23

x = 23

Find the total number of stamps:

6x + 5x = 11x

11x = 11 (23) = 253 stamps

Answer: He distributed 253 stamps
