Amazon rainforest is also called "Lungs of the Planet" because:

Amazon rainforest contributes 20% of the world's oxygen by photosynthesis, to earth atmosphere.

• Amazon rainforests distributed more than 2.5 million square miles on the earth. These forests are one of the greatest buffers against the climate crisis.

• Amazon rainforests absorb most of the carbon dioxide and provide oxygen but nowadays deforestation threatens all of that.

• Most of the forest trees cut down by humans for their purpose so in the last 50years, 20% of the Amazon disappears.

• This situation leads to global warming. Not only Amazon forests but the Ocean's also contribute 12% of the oxygen to the planet.
