among alkali halides which one has most ionic character and why?

Alkali halides are the halogen substituted alkanes.
The most common alkyl halides are RF, RCl,RBr and RI
Here R refers to the alkyl group.
RI is the most ionic in nature.This is because Iodine having the largest size has least shielding effect in the outermost shell electrons.
Thus , the Valence electrons shared easily become free and hence R+ and I- ions are formed making RI most ionic in character.
