Among CH4,C2H5OH,C2H4,C2H2 and C6H6 ,which is an alkane ,why ?​

CH4 is an alkane because it follows the general formula of alkane which is CnH2n+2(in this case there is one cabon atom,so hydrogen should be 2 times the carbon atoms + 2)(NOTE: n refers number of carbon atoms)
