An aeroplane revolves in a circle above the surface of the earth at a fixed height with speed 40 km/hr. What is the magnitude of change in velocity after completing 1/2 revolution?​

Answer: -80km/hr

Explanation:

Let suppose initial velocity is 40km/hr in north

After half rotation

Velocity will be 40km/hrs south

Change in velocity =final -initial

=40(south) -40(north)

= -40(north) - 40north

=-80km/hrs
