An aircraft executes a horizontal loop at a speed of 120km/hr with its wings banked at 15 degree. What is the radius of the loop?

v = 120 km/h = 100/3 m/s

θ = 15°

# Solution-

For circular motion with inclination θ, we have

tanθ = v^2 / rg

Putting values,

tan15 = (100/3)^2 / (r×10)

r = 1000/(0.268 *9)

r = 14925/36m

Radius of the loop is14925/36 km.
