The percentage of tin in alloy is 12.27%

Explanation:

In context to the question asked we have to find out percentage of tin in the alloy

Total elements in all = 114

Total number of carbon elements = 100

Total no of tin particle = 14

Percentage of tin in alloy = Total elements of tin / total elements in alloy x 100

=14/114 x 100

= 12.27%

So, by this we can conclude that there is 12.27% tin in the alloy.

Answer:

∴ Percentage of tin in the alloy is 12.28%.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • In context to question asked,
  • We have to find the percentage of tin in the alloy.
  • It is given that, Parts of tin in alloy = 14

Parts of copper in alloy = 100

  • Total parts of  tin and copper in alloy = 14+100

                                                     = 114

  • Now,

Percentage of tin in the alloy = \frac{14}{114} \times 100

                                            = \frac{1400}{114}

                                            = 12.28%

  • ∴ Percentage of tin in the alloy is 12.28%.
