Given :

Selling Price = ₹5225

Discount = 5%

To find:-

Marked Price

Solution:-

\boxed{\rm Formula \ to \ find \ Selling \ price}

\boxed{ \rm SP = \Bigg ( \dfrac{100-D\%}{100} \Bigg )MP}

Using this formula,

\implies\rm 5225 = \Bigg ( \dfrac{100-5}{100} \Bigg )MP

\implies\rm 5225 =  \dfrac{95}{100}MP

\implies\rm 5225 =  \dfrac{19}{20}MP

\implies\rm MP = \dfrac{5,225 \times 20}{19} = 5,500

Marked Price = 5,500

Note:-

These types of problems can be used by using the other formulas too.

Answer:

M.P = 5500

Step by Step Explanation:

S.P = ₹ 5225

Discount % (D%) = 5 %

M.P = x

Discount = D% of M.P

= 5% × x

= 5/100 × x = 1/50 × x =0.05

S.P = M.P - Discount

5225 = x - 0.05x

5225 = 0.95x

x = 5225 × 100/0.95 × 100 = 522500/95 = 5500

M.P = 5500
