An ant sits on the back of a mouse.The mouse carries the ant across the floor for a distance of 10 meters.Was there any work done by the mouse.Explain?

Yes as the mouse is in motion with respect do the surroundings and time.

No. No work was done by the mouse as the gravitation ad the pressure or force exerted by the is acting downwards whereas he was moving in forward direction. This forms 90 degree angle between F (force) and S ( displacement).

Hence Work done= FScos (theta)

= F×10×cos90

= F×10×0= 0

Because S= 10m and cos90= 0.
