An athlete runs along a circular track of radius 50 m. find the distance travelled and the displacement of the athelete when he covers 3/4th of the circle

Displacement : (2)*1/2 R

distance = πr = 50π = 157.14 m

Part B  

Displacement =  2r = 2 x 50 = 100 m  

Part C  

distance / time = speed = 157.14/50 = 3.14 m/s or π m/s
