Given,

Radius of circular track = 2.5 m
Time taken to complete a round = 12 sec.

Total displacement in a round of 12 sec. = 0 m

Now,

Total number of round taken by athlete

= 54/12
= 4.5
= 4 + 1/2 rounds

Now,
Total displacement in 4 rounds
= 4 × 0 m
= 0 m

Total displacement in 1/2 round
= 2 × radius
= 2 × 2.5 m
= 5 m

:. Total displacement in 4 and 1/2 round
= 0 + 5 m
= 5 m

Since , 4 and 1/2 cover in 54 second
then ,
Total displacement in 54 second
= 5 m

time taken to complete 1 round = 12sec

total round completed in 54 sec = 54/12 = 4.5

radius of circle = 2.5m

soooo

diameter = 2r =5

after the completion of the 4 round the athletes return toward its starting point and after 1/2 round completion he will be middle of the circle .

soo total displacement will be the diameter of the circle is 5m
