1. 20 lamps of 200 watt each working 10 hrs/day
2. 4 motors of 5 H. P each working 8 hrs/day
3. 2 heaters of 1000 watt each working 4 hrs/day
If the rate of charges for light and fans is rs 2.50 per unit and motors and heaters is rs 3.75 per unit. Calculate the bill of electricity charges in the month of march

Answer 1

1) 0.2kw × 20 lamps × 10 hours = 40 units

2) 1H.P = 745.7 watt
hence, 745.7 × 4 = 2982.8watt = 2.982kw × 4 hour =11.928units

3) 1kw ×2× 4 hours = 8 units

For lights and fans = 40 units × 2.50 = 100rs

For heaters and motors = 8+ 11.928 = ~20 units × 3.75 = 75 Units
