An electric iron consumes energy at a rate of 840W when heating is at the maximum rate and 360 W when the heating is at minimum, the voltage is 220V. What are the current and the resistance in each case?

Answer:

in first case power is 840 w

p= v*i

i= p/v= 840/220

i= 3.82 A

nd r= 220/3.82

in second case

i=360/220=1.64

r=220/1.64
