why are we taught in schools that the sun rises in the east when the sun doesn't rise it always stays in one place

Hey mate, I think it's absolutely a question of general knowledge.
The sun ☀ does stay in its own place but the
Earth rotates and also revolves around the sun.
Because of this rotation of the earth, the Sun seems to rise everyday in the East.
Your thinking is logically right...... no doubt about that..... but it was how the entire scenario was perceived through ages..... and you can't change it anymore... even if you want to do so......
