power = work/time
or
P = W/t
so
2kW => 2k joule work in every second
potential change to lift height 'h' for a body of mass 'm' under gravitational force
is = mgh
so
mgh/t = P
t = 60sec
h = 10m
P = 2kW
g = 10m/s²
so
m = Pt/gh
m = 2000×60÷(10×10)
m = 1200kg
so pump lift 1200kg of water in every minute
hope it helps you
