An electric refrigerator rated 400W operates 10 hours/day. What is the cost of the energy to operate it for 30 days at Rs. 4.00 per kWh?

ANSWER :

P=400 W time =10 hrs/ day day = 30 total hrs = 30*10=300

cost of energy =R4/kWh

energy consumed =P*T= 400*300/1000=120kWh

cost of energy=4*120=480 rupees
