Hi,

Here's ur answer :-

Mass number = no.of protons + no.of neutrons

=> 35 = no.of protons + 18

=> no.of protons = 35-18=17

Thus, the number of protons, that is, the atomic number is 17.

Thus the element X is Chlorine .

HOPE IT HELPS (^_^)

Rdx11: yes atomic no. is 17 but what is the group of number and period
supersonu: Ok u r right but was the previous answer more helpful than mine?
supersonu: You can search that for chlorine but you have to find for x and then do so
supersonu: U have taken wrong decision to mark the other one Brainliest

Answer:

We know :

Atomic number = Mass number - No. of neutrons.

Atomic number = 35 - 18

= > 17

Electronic configuration :

2 , 8 , 7

Group no. = 17

Period no. = 3

Name of element is Chlorine (  Cl ) .
