Hi friend,
Your answer:
For many people, Christmas is just the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Or about gifts under the tree, the lights in the windows, snow in the yard, shouting of "Merry Christmas" to others. But in reality, it is much more than that. It is a time of healing and renewed strength and the celebration of the acts of love.
Jesus Christ was born in was born in 5 or 6 BC. 25th December was chosen by the Roman Catholic Church in the 4th century as the celebration of his birthday since it was already celebrated as a pagan feast day. Over time, different traditions like the Yule log, mistletoe, and evergreen wreaths were absorbed into the Christmas traditions.
Christmas is already a very special event for us. But we make it even more special, we can follow some ideas, like -
Buying gifts from non-profit organizations.
Visiting orphanages and donating new or used but clean things.
Hanging paper snowflakes throughout the house for praying for people who are close to you.
Limiting the number of expensive gifts.
Read a few Advent or Christmas books.
Attend Christmas Eve Service.
Have a traditional yule log party with friends and family members.
The decorations used for the Christmas celebrations are usually thrown away by people after the end of the season and it languishes in landfills for many years to come. So, this Christmas, let us all decide to show our environment and little bit of love and care by using decorations made from recycling used things or judiciously using what is available to us. Like:-
* Making snow flakes from plastic bottles.
* Buying decorations that last longer.
* Use old Christmas cards to make beautiful buntings.
* Make edible gifts like homemade biscuits, cakes, etc.Like this, there are many ways utilizing which we can celebrate an eco-friendly Christmas.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Hope it helps!

Firstly Merry Christmas Eve!
The fall in the temperature, the sight of snowfall, the festive mood and the busy streets indicate WINTER. Winter is an exciting month with Christmas as it's festival. Every year people look forward to specially December for Christmas celebrations. The weather may be bitter cold but we find the hustle bustle in the streets, in the markets, malls etc.
Christmas is the festival of lights and joy. People song Christmas carols and decorated their Christmas trees. They have sumptuous dinner and enjoy the day among themselves. But is this real Christmas?
The answer is NO
If it was just enjoying within ourselves, it could have been any other festival right? Bit Christmas is special. Christmas is not about just going to the church and praying for ourselves and our family. Then what is it?
We all know the pain and hardships Jesus Christ has to go through in his life. On this auspicious day of Christmas we should make resolutions to follow the path Jesus Christ has shown us, the way he indicated people to live and love.
------------------------- "Taking gifts may give you a good meal but giving gifts will give you a good sleep"
On this day we should make amends to make the life of the unfortunate people better and bring some colour and joy in their dull and boring lives. After all it giving gifts give us more pleasure than taking gifts. The gift you take will be temporary and last until you use it but the memory of the giving a gift will last forever in our hearts and also in the hearts of the people who received it. Therefore we should do the following things to make things better for the unfortunate people.
<> We can gift them blankets and clothes.
<> We can gift them bars of cake and short bread.
<> We can spend some time with them to make them realise that they are not alone.
<> If not anything, at least our hugs and blessing will make them feel better and consoled.
Nothing in the world will worth more than those smiles on their faces. After all this is humanity and we ought to perform humanity to call ourselves humans.
Of course after all this we need to spend time with our relatives, family members, friends etc this day. This can be a good reunion day for people who live far away from their home and family. A tour to the mall, church, or a sumptuous dinner will be something really fascinating.
Whats a Christmas without a Christmas tree? And we apparently just can't keep a bare pine tree in our house. We need the decorative materials to decorate it. Maybe we can't make everything by ourselves but at least some we can to save right?
Here's few things we can do in order to save money and paper during Christmas :
<> We can put candy canes under the tree.
<> make paper balls in our home with waste paper instead of buying them.
<> Make jars look bright and colourful by attaching cinnamon sticks around them.
<> Lit candles all around the tree to make it look exotic. Even bare tree looks good this way.
So this Christmas, we should all make an effort to reduce wastage, give gifts instead of receiving and make resolutions to work gard throughout the next year and of course among all these we shouldn't forget to have some quality time with our family and friends. So just enjoy this day and live each moment to your fullest.
I hope each of you all's socks gets filled xD with gifts and even if it doesn't don't worry, santa is watching and the one deserving will surely be rewarded in some way or the other.
Wishing you all a very merry Christmas!! (in advance)
