An element x has a valency 2 write the chemical formula for oxide of the element. I have problem in it that you says its answer is OX but i am not satisfied how this answer came please fully explain it to me.

 VALENCY OF OXYGEN IS 2
VALENCY OF X IS 2

  +2       -2
+2-2 =0


SO OX  IS THE ANSWER

oxygen can be the write ans bcoz oxygen have 6 electrons in its outer shell and hence have a valency 2.
but the question asked here is to write the chemical formula of its oxide soo oxygen is not satisfied here.
