An elevator descends into a mine shaft at the rate of 6m/min. What will be its position after one hour? If it begins to descend from 20 m above the ground, what will be its position after 45 minutes?

A. It will descend 6×60(60 minutes in an hour) = 360 meters.
B. It will be 6×45= 270 meters descend but it started at 20 meters so it will be 270-20 = 250 meters underground
