An elevator descent into a mine shaft at the rate of 6 meter per minute if the descent stsrt from 10 m above ground level,how long will it take to reach -350 meter

since the elevater is going down ,so the distance covered by it will be represented by a negative integer.                                                                                                            change in position of the elevator in one minute=  -10                                                               position of the ele.  =-10(-350) =10+350=360                                                                Distance covered =6m/min                                                                                         time taken =360/6   =60 min
