Given :

Gallons of water ,  machine used in every 9 hour = 3 gallons

To find :

(i) Gallons of water , machine use each hour .

(ii) Number of hours to use one gallon of water .

Solution :

(i) Gallons of water machine used in every 9 hour = 3 gallons

then , gallon of water , machine used in one hour = 3/9 gallon

                                                                                      = 1/3 gallon

(ii) Number of hours to use 3 gallon of water = 9 hour

then , number of hours to use 1 gallon of water = 9/3 hour

                                                                                = 3 hour

Gallons of water , machine use each hour = 1/3 gallon

Number of hours to use one gallon of water = 3 hour
