Explanation:

I = impulse given to a body of mass m

 = change in the momentum of the body

 = mv2 - mv1

Increase in kinetic energy of the body

 ΔKE = 1/2 mv2² - 1/2 mv1²

         = 1/2 m (v2+v1) (v2-v1)

         = I * (v2+v1)
