In-situ conservation is the on-site protection or the preservation of bio-genetic resources in original populations of animal or plant classes, such as forest bio-genetic reserves in natural inhabitants of Teagan species. It is the method of preserving a threatened species of animal or plant in its natural environment either by guarding or reconstructing the environment itself or by maintaining the species from predators. Around 4% of the entire geographical region of the nation is employed for in-situ conservation. In India, there are 18 Biosphere reserves,  543 Wild-life sanctuaries,104 National parks and 4 Biodiversity hotspots. The Kaziranga National Park located in Assam and popularly known for One-horned Rhino is one of India's attempt for In-situ conservation.
