Answer:

Area of Iron sheet required = 3.19m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of box = l = 1m

Breadth of box = b = 80 cm = 0.8m

Height of box = h = 65cm = 0.65m

Area of bottom part = lb = 1 * 0.8 = 0.8m²

Area of long vertical part = lh = 1 * 0.65 = 0.65m²

Area of short vertical part = bh = 0.8 * 0.65 = 0.52m²

Given the box is open at the top , so

Total area of box = Area of bottom part

+ 2 ( Area of long vertical part )

+ 2 ( Area of short vertical part )

= 0.85 + 2 ( 0.65 ) + 2 ( 0.52 )

= 0.85 + 1.3 + 1.04

= 3.19m²

Given cost of Iron sheet per m² = rs. 37.50

Total cost of Iron sheet to prepare box = 3.19 * 37.50

= Rs. 119.6250
