Iron is a more reactive metal than copper in the reactivity series. So when we keep the iron knife in the CuSo4 solution it will displace the copper from its solution and form its own solution that is FeSo4
CuSo4+Fe => FeSo4 + Cu
CuSo4+Fe => FeSo4 + Cu
