Answer: Both A and B are in translatory motion.

Translation occurs when an object changes it’s position. If this shift occurs with no change in orientation of the object, then it is referred to as pure translation.

If it’s orientation changes as well as it shifts, it’s rotational+translational motion.

If only orientation changes, it’s pure rotation.

In given situation, both A and B move, so both are in translatory motion.

Note: Orientation and Translation is measured with respect to a stationary observer.
