An object having half a kilogram mass is at rest. A force of 8N acts on it for 8s. Find the distance travelled by the particle in these 8 seconds and the next 8 second.

Mass = m = 0.5 kg

Force = F = 8N

acceleration = a = ?

initial velocity = u = 0m/s

time = 8 s

distance = s = ?


F = ma

F/m = a

8/0.5 = a

16 m/s² = a


s = ut + at²/2

s = 0×8 + 16×64/2

s = 0+512

s = 512 m

so it travel 512m in 8 second and and next 8 second
