Apply second kinematic equation

V ² - U² = 2ah

0 - U² = 2 ( - g ) × h

U = √2gh  =  √2 × 10 × 0.1 = √2 m/s

Apply first kinematic equation

V = U + at

0 = U - gt

t = U/g = √2 /10 ≅ 0.14 sec

Initial velocity is √2  m/s  and time required to reach maximum height is 0.14 sec
