An object is thrown vertically upwards and rises to a height of 10 Calculate (i) the velocity with with the object was thrown upwards and the time taken by the object to reach the highest point.​

Given:- s = 10m, v = 0 m/s, g = 9.8m/s², a = -9.8m/s²

Solution:- I) v²-u² = 2as

v² = u²+2as

0 = u²+2×(-9.8)×(10)

u²= 2×9.8×10

u = √196

u = 14 m/s

II) v = u+at

0 = 14+(-9.8)×t

t = 1.43 seconds.
