Answer :

  • Option (2) 62.5 J

S O L U T I O N :

Given,

  • Mass (m) = 2500 g ⟹ 2500/1000 ⟹ 2.5 kg.

  • Height (h) = 2.5 m.

  • Acceleration due to gravity (g) = 10 m/s².

To Find,

  • Work done by him on the object.

Explanation,

According to the work - Energy theorem,

Work done = Increasing in Potential energy

⟹ W = P.E

.°. Work done = mgh

[ Put the values ]

⟹ W = 2.5 × 10 × 2.5

⟹ W = 25 × 2.5

W = 62.5 J

Therefore,

The work done by him on the object is 62.5 joule.

For information,

  • K.E = ¹/2 × mv²
  • M.E = P.E + K.E
