An object of mass 10 kg falls from rest through a vertical distance of 10m and acquires a velocity of 10m/s . The work done by the push of air on the object is (g=10 m/s 2 )
a) 500J b)-500J c)250J d)-250J

I too assume h is 20 not 2 — otherwise how can it fall 20m?
It starts with 2000 Joules of Potential Energy (mgh where m=10, g=10, h=20)
It finishes with 500 Joules of Kinetic Energy (1/2 m v^2 where v=10)
So it has lost 1500 J to the air as drag etc.
Was it on a parachute or something??
Other values of g are available in all good stores :o)
plz mark as brain list
