Answer:

Distance travelled in first 2 seconds= 20 meters

Distance travelled in next 2 seconds= 16 meters

Average Speed= distance/time

= 20+16/2+2 m/s

= 36/4 m/s

= 9 m/s

Hope it helps.

Answer:

Here is Your Answer

Explanation:

S1 (Distance 1) = 20m

S2 (Distance 2) = 16m

T1 (Time 1) = 2sec

T2 (Time 2) = 2sec

Therefore, Total Distance= S1+S2

= 20+16

= 36m

Total Time= T1+T2

= 2+2

= 4sec

Therefore, Average speed= Total distance / Total Time

= 36/4

= 9m/s

Hence, The average speed of the object is 9m/s.
